Something not behaving?
The questions people ask most, each with what to do first. Anything else, email and it gets read.
Email hello@metricsnest.app with your iOS version and iPhone model, and, if a heart rate monitor is involved, which one. For a payment, add the date and the Apple Account it was billed to.

Using the app
My dashboard says there is no data.
Open the iPhone Settings app, go to Privacy & Security → Health → Metrics Nest, and allow steps, sleep, weight and workouts. Then go back to the app and pull down on the dashboard to refresh. If it is still empty, check that Apple Health itself has something for those days — the app can only show what your phone, your watch or your scale has written there. A day with nothing recorded is left blank rather than drawn as a zero, so blank means nothing arrived, not that something went wrong.
My workout has no heart rate on it.
Bring the heart rate monitor into range before you start, and open the Workout tab — it searches and connects on its own. A monitor connected halfway through does not fill in the part it missed. A workout logged without a monitor is still a whole workout, just with no heart rate trace on it. Some watches, including several Amazfit models, only broadcast heart rate while a workout is running on the watch itself.
An exercise I do is not in the list.
Write it in. Anything typed by hand is a first-class exercise with its own history and its own chart, exactly like the 48 in the catalogue. Before you do, try the search — it matches abbreviations and other names as well as the full one, so "OHP", "RDL" and "erg" all find the movement they mean rather than starting a second series for a lift you already track.
Which heart rate monitors work?
Any that advertises the standard Bluetooth Heart Rate Service — most chest straps, and many watches. There is nothing to configure beyond pairing. If two monitors are in the room, the app asks which one you meant.
My friend is not showing on a challenge board.
Three things have to be true: you are both Game Center friends, you have both connected Game Center in the app, and you have both submitted a score since the current week began on Monday. A score submitted on Sunday night belongs to that week, not to the one starting the next morning.
Can I get a badge back that I lost?
Badges cannot be lost. Once a rank is earned it is stamped permanently, and no code in the app can clear it. If one is missing, it was never unlocked — nothing that happened before you started using the app counts towards them.
Why is there no sleep quality score?
Because there is no honest way to show you how it was calculated. The app allows itself a figure it can fully explain on screen — Balance has a page for exactly that — and refuses one it cannot.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. Everything it holds is stored on your device, so removing the app removes it. Your Health app data is untouched — the app only ever read it. The one exception is workouts you asked it to add to Health: those are yours now and stay there, and you delete them the same way you delete anything else in the Health app.
Paying
The app is free. Unlimited is £39.99 a year, £4.99 a month, or £79.99 once, with a free month on the subscriptions — the plans in full. UK prices; Apple sets the local equivalent elsewhere.
- Cancel
Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Metrics Nest.
- Refund

- Restore
Settings in the app, on the Apple Account you bought it with.
How do I cancel, and what happens if I do?
Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Metrics Nest → Cancel. Apple holds the subscription, so that is the only place it can be cancelled. Cancelling in the free month costs nothing; otherwise you keep Unlimited until the paid period ends, then the app carries on as the free tier. Nothing you recorded is deleted. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription — cancel first, then delete.
I paid and the app still thinks I have not.
Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought it with, then use Restore purchases in Settings. Purchases belong to an Apple Account rather than to a device, which is what lets them come back after a reinstall or on a second iPhone. If the account is right and it still will not restore, email and include the date of purchase.
Can I have a refund?
Refunds are Apple’s to give — reportaproblem.apple.com, signed in with the Apple Account that paid. We have no access to the transaction and cannot issue one. If something in the app did not do what this site said it would, email anyway: that is worth knowing about whether or not Apple refunds you.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly?
Yes, whenever you like: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Metrics Nest, and pick the other one. Apple credits what you have already paid against the new period. The free month comes once per Apple Account, not once per plan.
What does lifetime cover?
The app on your phone, for as long as it exists: everything Unlimited unlocks today and everything added later. It does not cover anything that runs on a server — an API, a connection to another service — because a server costs money every month and a one-time payment cannot honestly promise one. Those are their own subscription, added on top; the app itself stays paid for.
Can I move from a subscription to lifetime?
Buy the lifetime access, then cancel the subscription in Settings → Subscriptions. They are separate products to the App Store, so buying one does not stop the other — cancel it yourself or it renews alongside a purchase you no longer need. Lifetime is £79.99 once and does not renew.
Privacy and terms
The privacy policy says what the app reads and what leaves your device. The terms of use cover the rest.
